Responsibilities
- Seeking an experienced Practice Director to manage our plastic surgery office staff and develop strategic plans to support the overall growth of our practice.
- This hands-on operations role will require a high-level thinker as well as a willingness to be an extra pair of hands for support functions as needed.
- Oversee all business operations, administration, and strategic growth initiatives for a high-performing plastic surgery and aesthetics practice, including its med spa and ambulatory surgery center.
- Analyze practice performance and revenue streams to identify opportunities for increased capacity, profitability, and operational efficiency; design and implement initiatives that align with long-term growth goals.
- Develop and execute data-driven strategies to attract and retain patients through effective marketing, public relations, and branding initiatives, leveraging both digital and traditional channels.
- Manage and optimize practice-wide systems including CRM and EMR platforms to improve patient lifecycle management, workflow efficiency, documentation accuracy, and lead conversion.
- Leverage prior sales experience to coach and mentor staff on consultative selling, objection handling, and conversion techniques to increase revenue and patient satisfaction.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team-including physicians, PA-Cs, nurses, front office, and support staff-ensuring team members meet performance benchmarks while delivering exceptional patient experiences.
- Manage billing, accounts receivable, and financial controls to ensure timely reimbursement and accurate revenue cycle management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, medical offices, and referral networks to expand reach and enhance collaboration.
- Manage vendor relationships and lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable pricing, service quality, and alignment with operational and financial goals.
- Establish and monitor departmental goals, productivity benchmarks, budgets, and resource allocation plans to drive efficiency and accountability.
- Continuously assess and manage administrative costs and operational processes to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Direct all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, disciplinary actions (including PIPs and terminations), and payroll administration.
- Supervise day-to-day operations and ensure effective team collaboration across all administrative and clinical departments, including oversight of inventory management and compliance procedures.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and secure records management across all departments and technology platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent of education/experience required
- MBA degree strongly preferred
- Experience in Plastic Surgery, Aesthetics, or Dermatology is required
- Experience working in most capacities of a medical practice including practice administration and implementation of processes, systems, policies, standards
- Experience with EMR/EHR, preferably Symplast and Nextech
- Experience working with owners/executive team to analyze and develop budget goals, operational plans and growth strategies
- Minimum 3 years recent supervisory experience
- Experience managing inventory, customer service, scheduling and reception.
